Visiting Puerto Rico from Philadelphia, the Haney family decided to book a last minute family beach session. I was so happy to tell Eileen that I was available on Tuesday for their session! When we met at the beach Eileen said this was their first time getting professional photos taken as a family. I felt so honored to be trusted with being apart of the Haney’s FIRST family portraits!

I can’t remember the last time I photographed a baby as little as Sloane, so I was excited to capture her sweet smile. Sloane did so GREAT. Mac and Eileen did an awesome job helping me get those giggles! If you were at Condado Beach on Tuesday and heard adults sining, “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” and “If You’re Happy And You Know It, Clap Your Hands”, that was us! As a photographer, I have some ideas on things we can do to get those big smiles from littles like Sloane. However, you moms and dads know your kids much better than I do. So don’t be afraid to speak up and tell your photographer the things your babies love to help them capture those images full of joy.

At the end of their session, Eileen told me that her family and friends are going to be shocked to know she booked a session to have pictures taken, because she hates taking pictures. I find that so hard to believe because just look at all the joy in their photos! You’d never know that they weren’t fans of getting their pictures taken, AND that it was their first time taking photos as a family. It was such a pleasure meeting you Haney Family, thank you for choosing me to capture this family milestone.
