Julissa and Dallas’ engagement session happened at sunrise on Isla Verde Beach in Puerto Rico. It was a golden morning. The sun shining brightly right as the day started and not a cloud in the sky. It felt warm, calm and intimate. There was no one on the beach and the water was still. Even though sunrise sessions are usually cooler, summer months in Puerto Rico mean warmer temperatures and an earlier sunrise.

Since the sun was shining brightly, we stayed mostly in one section of the beach where the light was most flattering. By using different angles, movement, and a mix of close-up and wide shots, we were able to create a gallery that feels full of variety. The light was incredibly golden—soft, dreamy, and glowing in a way that made their images feel timeless.

Documenting the engagement season is a special and short chapter filled with anticipation before becoming one. What stood out most during Julissa and Dallas’ Puerto Rico beach engagement session was how comfortable they were with each other. They were fully present with each other, and that ease showed up in every part of their session. The way they kissed, laughed, and stayed close together wasn’t something I needed to direct—it came naturally to them. Those genuine moments are always the ones that translate the most in photos.
