I am SO EXCITED to share with you Kevin and Andrea’s dreamy honeymoon sunrise beach session in Puerto Rico! I had so many favorites and got a little carried away with editing. *Spoiler Alert* I don’t normally do black and white edits, but there were several from Kevin and Andrea’s session that I LOVED in black and white. I can’t wait for you to see! Also, sunrise sessions are becoming my FAVORITE. Today I’m sharing the biggest benefit of scheduling your session during sunrise along with Kevin and Andrea’s dreamy gallery.
One thing I’ve learned as a Photographer since moving to Puerto Rico...
As a photographer I feel it’s my responsibility to make my clients feel prepared and excited for their session. Since moving to Puerto Rico I’ve learned there are additional things I need to prepare my clients for. One being that: popular locations for photo sessions, like Old San Juan and the beach, are also popular tourist locations. Which means these places are usually busy and full of people.
Why is this important?
Why do I feel I need to prepare my clients for this? One reason is that many aren’t from Puerto Rico. Most of them are also on vacation, so they aren’t familiar with the location they choose for their session. More importantly, some (myself included), feel a little nervous about having photos taken. Imagine how our nerves might increase when we get to the location to see lots of people walking around during the session. It can be uncomfortable, especially walking into that situation blind sighted, and I would never want that to happen. I want them to feel as comfortable as possible.
This is why I Love Sunrise Sessions!
This is the biggest reason why I LOVE sunrise sessions at high traffic locations. There’s either no one around, or very few people around. This is what makes sunrise sessions so comfortable and relaxed. And BONUS, the LIGHT is a DREAM. So if crowds aren’t your thing and you can wake up early for sunrise, book a sunrise session. Do it, you won’t regret it.
Kevin & Andrea
Kevin and Andrea’s session was so romantic and adventurous! They had many quiet moments, along with bursts of laughter IN THE WATER. Having the whole beach to ourselves also gave their gallery so much variety. Since there was no one around, it allowed us to photograph anywhere we wanted with zero people in the background. I can’t wait for you to see for yourself! Congratulations Kevin and Andrea on getting married! It was such a pleasure getting to know you two. Thank you for choosing me to capture your love for one another. It’s a privilege to capture a love like yours.
