The Vence Family were visiting relatives on the island and decided to book a beach session while they were here. Photographing them was such a treat!! I’ll admit, when Lacy first told me the ages of cuties Eva and Thomas, I had a short moment of worry about getting “THEE shot”. (You know, the shot with everyone looking and smiling at the camera.) It’s been a long time since I photographed littles as young as Eva and Thomas, so naturally I felt the pressure. Looking back now I obviously had nothing to worry about because look at their photos! We captured several shots with everyone looking at the camera and smiling. It was GREAT!
For every session I always make sure to get “THEE Shot”. As a photographer it’s not my most creative or favorite image, but the session is not about me, it’s about my clients. I know that image is the one most cherished by them. It’s the one that gets framed on the wall and passed down though generations. For parents like Alex and Lacey, I can only imagine that it’s this photo that freezes a moment during a season that feels like time is flying by.
I loved how easy it was to capture Thomas and Eva’s personalities. Thomas was so curious! He was always picking up rocks or playing with the sand any chance he got. Eva would make me laugh because she was always trying to get rid of me. I’d say “Hi Eva!” and she’d respond, “Bye!” There were times when I’d say, “Can you smile for me Eva?” she would say, “No!” and immediately start giggling. They both were adorable! Thank you so much Vence Family for the pleasure of meeting you and for choosing me to capture these precious moments.
